Now is the time we can show our support to our very own classmates in whatever competition or events they have. Let's go down to support our class' sports people when they have their matches. Also, let us not forget to join in the concerts of our class performers from the various performing art groups. The presence of spectators and supporters in the concerts and matches makes a lot of difference for the performers and sports people. Nil sine labore + support (Nothing without labour and support).

I've a made a new discovery today! Tiredness is just a state of mind. If your mind tells your body that it's tired, your body will act as if it's tired and switch. Sometimes i find this especially true. When i tell myself i'm awake, i'll probably stay awake. Probably. Except the times when i'm really very tired. So, we shouldn't keep putting ourselves down by telling our body to switch off. Be turned on. I mean in a non-sexual manner. Switch on your mind and body and enjoy the wonders of life. There might be great things and people around you that you may always be oblivious to because you've been with them for too long. Appreciate life, people.

I'm talking to myself again. That's weird! People must have been thinking that i'm a crazy guy who talks to himself all the time. Weirdo! Anyway, it's my way of self motivation.

Cho Seung-hui, the Virginia shooter, is similar in some way (means not very similar but still similar) to Jigsaw in Saw and the Death in Final Destination, both of whom executed those who'd failed to appreciate life. Many of our peers are constantly unhappy, querulous, and greedy. They freaking take what they have for granted and I just hate them for being ungrateful. I HATE THEM, but certainly not so much that I would kill all of my classmates and then shoot in my own face(of the year). =.=
I hope some of these people can complain less about having not enough but start to realise how damn lucky [in so many ways (think for yourself)] they are. At least stop using their parents' money to satisfy their unbounded needs.
Cho was trying to get that message across, but he did it the wrong way.
BUT
I think our Daniel is doing it the right way!! +) *cheers from the class*
So listen to Daniel and look on the bright side of life okay?
Hahaha.
I know life is boring,
but it's okay. =)

All the best for everything in your life. You people are great.

Always look on the bright side of life!

If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That's the thing.
And...
If you are feeling down or tired of your CCAs or loads of school work, look on the bright side of life and let's go for a bubble tea after school and chill out as a class. -cool malaysian

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistle]

So here we are: It's an ordinary April morning and we sit in LT1 listening to the Maths lecturer. I'm reading the latest issue of Time and Xia Han encourages me to pay attention to the lecture like a true friend would. But, of course, me being the 'me' at 9 in the morning, is still too much in a daze to heed the excellent advice.

It's been 1 year and 3 full months that we've been Victorian (and I mean VictoriaJCian), and we've come a long way from being overly optimistic J1s brimming with life and zest to being the jaded and weary J2s engulfed in denial we are now.

It has been one heck of a journey, and still is, considering that we are nowhere near the end of it yet. The past two months have been especially taxing. However, nothing, in my opinion, has prepared me for what will come in the following months leading to the Strings concert on the 1st of June. With SYF in a mere 3 weeks and the concert in 4 weeks after that, I'm in for one whirlwind of a time. Long gone are the times when important events were months apart and not weeks or days.

Once that storm settles, it'll be 3 weeks till CT 2, and then 3 months till the Prelims. "WTF! NB, CB!" does not even begin to describe it. I'm all for pushing myself to the limit though, and man, will this year be one to do just that.

TO all of you with upcoming SYFs, seasons, matches, concerts etc.: All the best!

may the s53 spirit rekindle
