Hello again dear classmates. It's time for my post-event report.

I have a feeling many of you are wondering what the event is; and I have a feeling many of you didn't know of a musical last Friday brought to you by the Choir titled Les Miserables. I was disappointed with our class' poor turnout that day. You missed out on a really entertaining evening of song, dance and little CatHigh boys. You didn't get to see Johnny all "dolled-up" or Sidney's Ah Beng hair (he was the only one from our class I saw there in the audience) or DEBBIE's brilliant performance and oh-so-beautiful voice (-lusts!); and what's more, you missed out on witnessing a truly spectacular performance by the one and only. Gen Rong was the main male character of the musical; and that's a good thing not only because his acting was believable, but it meant that we would get to here him sing more than the others, which is a good thing because his voice was just breath-taking.

To be honest, I have to admit that the musical was somewhat a let down (though not vocally). Maybe it was due to technical glitches (mics poorly aimed, occasionally strange lighting and (!) props falling backstage), the audience laughing at the most inappropriate times or because I just recently watched a stellar Malay musical 'Puteri Gunung Ledang' which had a brilliant cast and excellent props and the most perfect music but I feel that it was just a little too raw still. I applaud the effort because (I can't really imagine) but I would think that putting a musical together isn't the easiest of jobs. And if anything, Gen Rong definitely made the $12 all worth while. Big kudos to you dude! And 'Marius' looks like you.

And while I'm on the topic of performances, there is a band concert on the 15th of December, a Friday. Support your classmates! That includes Jia Hui, Christina, Sidney AND me!!! Yes, me! (well, hopefully. Tomorrow's my first practice with them so I hope it turns out okay. Haha. ) Tickets at $8. See you there!
