Considering the fact that Mr Afzal had made his really inspirational speech to all boycott the United States of America, I'll bring you guys to things of a lighter note.
Orientation was cool. Sorry that I missed the Seniors-meet-juniors, I'd really love to attend it. But it was all thanks to an extremely asinine taxi driver who just happened to drive along Haig Road at 9:27am! Firstly, I was so close (3minutes away) from not paying the extra surcharges. It was a big fat 2 bucks which will eventually constitute to a 30%, considering taxi fares to school usually cost around 6 plus bucks. I got quite irritated with my phone as it clearly stated 9:35 when I took a glance at it before hailing a taxi. I cooled down within time, as I dozed off unintentionally at the back of a spacious Comfort Cab.
The next image I saw as I lifted my eyelids was the Suntec City! The sudden realisation of being on the wrong route to school got the better of me as I quickly asked the driver if he knew where he was going.
'Ya, Buona Vista right?' 'NO!' and I rolled my eyes at myself.
How can anyone ever mistakingly hear Marine as Buona? Firstly, both words have zilch correlation in terms of rhyming or in any aspects of enunciation. I was so appalled I gave him a really pissed off look as I told him where Marine Vista is.
The fare turned out to be 15 dollars, but the bold me demanded him to return me 4 bucks when I paid him a mere 10 bucks. I feel bad, being so mean to a taxi driver but I was really annoyed, especially when all I had in my wallet was a red, sad-looking note. =( (Oh, is it red? Can't really remember the last time someone used a word to describe that particular note.)
IM BORED AND TIRED, and I've band tomorrow! See you guys soon, though I'll still be assiduously involved in 'MOVING AR MOVING OUT', BYE!
