School... It's draining everything from me. It's sucking all the life out of me. Each and every week. What life I replenish during the weekend is sucked out again as school starts, again and again. And Mrs Ang goes on and on, like a Maglev on a never-ending uphill track whilst I'm the last carriage slowly breaking off and sliding back into the abyss. Mr Ho - despite his awesome wisdom which usually has me in a state of utter dumbfoundedness - drills into us each week the imperfection of humanity, leaving me the picture of the world as a bestial, deceitful, incestuous melting pot of sin. Which really can't be too far from the truth right? Mr Harris reaffirms my suspicions that life is really not as great or beautiful as they sing it to be in that awfully annoying song (by LFO?). But Mr Har, he brightens up my day. His candid answers to our utterly depressing problems and his reassuring advice that life isn't going to get any better (especially for those going to Army) melts all my worry and semi-suicidal thoughts into nothingness.
I was thinking about my Econs teacher and though I love him dearly, I haven't done the case study which was due on Monday. So I've decided not to write a paragraph about him or the subject out of guilt, though Econs really is a subject which seems to re-enforce disillusionment. I mean, it's not like the GDP is at all an accurate indicator of the standard of living of a country. There are the mega-rich and the really poor. And those who hang about in between. Most of the theories are THEORIES anyway, with the almost entirely untrue assumption - ceteris paribus. Like anything stays constant on Earth.
I can't agree with 3 out of my 4 subjects. Those 3 subjects tell me that the world can be seen in numbers. What about the things that can't be counted? What about all the anomalies you didn't expect when doing your Skill A experiment of life? What about the things you can't put degrees too, or the things you can't see in radian, or the things which don't have
the spring constant or follow Newton's 5th Law? What about the things you can't integrate, differentiate or put in partial fractions?
And even with music, something I thought could help me escape the world of numbers, it's all about counting
NUMBERS AND NUMBERS AND NUMBERS, IT'S ALL
Well, it's late. And counting
of hours I have left to sleep, I think it's time I end off. Because tomorrow is a whole new day, where you seem to be doing the same thing you did today and yesterday. So I count
my lucky stars.
Eight of Nine.
Guess Who.P.S: Blogger forced me to change the blog to the new Blogger. So you sign in with the new username: firstname.lastname@example.org but the password is the same. I think you can click the New Blogger or the Old Blogger when you want to sign in. So, since I've changed the blog, click on the New Blogger. Obviously right? Oh well, happy days.
